WHAT TO WEAR WHEN YOU VISIT GCEC?

It is a very important to wear long pants and boots, every time you are onsite at GCEC. Even if you are not riding closed in shoes are compulsory. If you don't have boots, sneakers or other similar closed shoes will suffice. Helmets will be provided by the school if you are riding just once.

Plan to arrive 15 mins earlier than your scheduled appointment or lesson.

Our Story

The Gold Coast Equestrian Centre has been operating for 15 years.

Founded in 2010 by the Urbain family, GCEC has been coaching and developing riders of all ages and abilities.

Having Australian & French backgrounds, Daniele Nixon Urbain has owned and operated riding schools and saddleries internationally for many years prior to relocating to Australia.

Horse passionate, Daniele has bred and raised many of the ponies and horses used in the riding school. Sourcing and producing horses and ponies with amazing bloodlines, temperaments, and conformation to provide clients with a safe and positive riding school experience.

Well connected to riding schools internationally, the onsite boutique at GCEC imports riding gear from overseas to provide the highest quality products for riders. In her many years of saddlery experience, Daniele and her team provide advice and fitting for safety and riding gear on site.

Daniele shares her horse passion with her 3 beautiful children, who have been heavily involved in the riding school since their youth.

Her husband Pascal Urbain is an engineer and has built and maintains the beautiful set up & infrastructures GCEC now has.

GCEC has welcomed over the years many international groups, including from China, Japan, France, Korea and others.

If it is learning to ride, horsemanship, coming back to riding as an adult, an occasional trail ride, new helmet, or boots, or purchasing a horse that is right for you - we do it all! And with years of experience in Australia and beyond, we look forward to welcoming you to our riding school.
